Setting up your computer for Work or School for the first time
In order to complete the instructions your device would have to be connected to the internet, please select your Wi-Fi from the list shown, if you have a wired connection, plug your cable to the ethernet port of your device instead.
Select “Set up for work or school” and click next
Sign in with your SaskDLC email, and hit next.
For Students, this would be studentID@saskDLC.ca (please visit this link https://student.saskdlc.help/en/support/solutions/articles/22000284630 for instructions on how to get your Student/Learner ID).
For staff this would be firstname.lastname@saskDLC.ca, if you do not have this talk to your principal/ manager or send a ticket here https://supportservices.saskdlc.help/support/home
Enter password for your account, you may be required to change your password when logging in for the first time
Click Next
Then on your phone, go to the app store for iPhone users, play store for Android users and search for the Microsoft Authenticator app, download the app and hit next button
Open the authenticator app on your phone, at the top right corner, click on the cross + sign
Click on Work or school account and select Scan QR Code
Then scan the QR code by pointing your phone camera at the QR code on your screen, your account would be registered and your email would show up on the authenticator app
Note the number on your screen
Then enter this number in the authenticator app on your phone
Hit Next
Enter a phone number, this would add an additional authentication option, if you change the country code and start to enter your phone number it would revert to United States, please ignore and proceed to enter your number and hit next, and you would receive a code on your phone (Text).
Enter the code you received and hit next

Next, your device would go through a set up process, this may require a restart, a log in and authentication request, please keep your computer plugged in and awake(you can move the mouse at intervals to keep your computer from sleeping or hibernating).
Proceed to accept all the settings by choosing yes and clicking accept
Sign in to your account using your SaskDLC email account and password (use the password you changed to earlier)
Your computer would continue downloading more settings and policies required to make your computer work well for you, it is advisable to let the setup complete.
You would be required set up your PIN, please enter an 8-digit pin you can remember, if your computer is configured for biometrics you would also be prompted to set up face ID or add your fingerprint proceed with the instructions and click Ok,
If you can’t use your authenticator app, click on “I can’t use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now” and you would have the options to receive a code via text
Enter a PIN you can remember, it must be 8 digits and click ok
Click Ok
You should be signed in and your computer should be ready to use
